placing

Sharp-eyed orderers sometimes notice that when
they get to
CCNow's ordering page, the books are listed at $13 rather than $11.
This
is because CCNow has a fiercly retarded ordering system in which the
shipping
and handling charges are added once, whether you order 1 book or 100.
Their
recommendation is to fold the shipping into the base price, but I can't
fully do that because I'm in Canada. So instead, some of the shipping
is
folded into the base price, and some isn't. Thus, the price is $13, but
with $0 shipping to Canada, $1 to the U.S., and $3 international.
Alllllll
adds up to the same, though.
* update 9/20/03 * - I just fixed all the prices to
look like what
they look like on CCNow, so all this is now moot.
What if I don't want to use a credit
card?
You can buy it in stores or through a
regular mail
order. You can send a cheque or money order to:
Stephen Notley 1524 Melrose Avenue, Apt. #101. Seattle, WA 98122
US prices for books and shipping are the same as the
listed CCNow prices.
If you're paying in Canadian funds, multiply US prices by 1.3.
*** mini-update Sep 30, 2005 ***
At the moment mail orders are the only ones I'm prepared to take right now. Prices are those listed on this page plus $3 shipping per book.
What stores is it in?
Updated August 1, 2003 - What stores?
Well, let's start
the list. Comic Relief in
Berkeley,
California, taste-makers to the stars, are known to stock copies of my
book. Fabulous Lee's Comics in
San
Mateo, CA carry them as well. The
Beguiling
in Toronto did have some, though I should probably get on the ball and
send them some more. Million
Year
Picnic in Cambridge near Harvard University carries them, the
sweethearts.
Jeff over at Phantom of
the
Attic in Pittsburgh had a great signing earlier this year; he/they
rocks/rock! Does your local store carry them? Why not? Let's start
bugging
them to bring my books in! If they say they don't know how, tell them
to
contact either Cold Cut Distributors
or Last Gasp -- both of those
guys
have copies just sitting around entropizing. And send me e-mails if
your
local store does have, them, so I can put them on this list!
And, of course, Greenwoods
Bookshoppe
in Edmonton always manages to move a couple hundred books, bless 'em.
And
can't forget good ol' Darryl at Edmonton's WARP 1 Comics, as
well
as Mike at Mars and Venus, good Whyte Ave spots. So there's
lots
of places to get this stuff...
And just to put out first notice... I'm getting the
UBOPE listed in
Previews this September, though I don't know if it'll do any good. Not
right yet, but in September, I'm gonna be remindin' y'all to trip on
over
to your local cmoic books store to bug them to order some books. Let's
see if this diffuse fog of Bob fans misting across the continent can
move
a few comic store owners.
